Seawater Circulation System: The Heart and Lungs of Brim farm

The seawater circulation system is a vital component of the Brim farm solution, functioning as both the heart and lungs of the entire unit. It delivers a constant supply of fresh, oxygen-rich seawater throughout the fish tank, ensuring a homogeneous water quality and optimal living conditions across the entire water column. This allows the fish to fully utilise the entire volume of the tank, promoting better growth and welfare.

The system is designed to draw seawater from both deep and intermediate depths, enabling the possibility to select the most favourable source or even mixing water with uneven characteristics. Powerful seawater pumps distribute water evenly around the periphery of the tank through specially designed water distributors, ensuring an even and efficient flow pattern.

One of the key advantages of the Brim farm seawater system is its high circulation capacity. The full volume of the tank can be exchanged within just 45 minutes, significantly reducing the risk of pathogen build-up and helping to maintain a healthy environment for the fish.

After circulation through the tank, the used seawater is returned to the sea via the center column, known as the "Cigar." This structure is equipped with a double-barrier filtration system to ensure zero fish escapes — an essential feature for environmental protection and operational integrity.

At Brim farm, we believe that optimal water quality is the foundation of sustainable fish farming — and our advanced seawater circulation system is designed to deliver exactly that.
