Our system, built in concrete offers exceptional structural strength, allowing for flexible water-level adjustments based on the forecast. In calm conditions, the tank can be filled almost to 100%, with a minimal freeboard. This maximises the water volume, creating the best possible environment for the fish.
When rough weather is expected, the freeboard is easily increased by discharging ballast water, thus lowering the water level inside the fish tank—helping the unit better absorb wave impact and ensuring safe, stable operations.
Once conditions improve, increased filling of ballast water is used to adjust the water volume inside the tank.
This dynamic approach doesn’t just benefit the stock—it also protects our people. By minimising motion and exposure during adverse weather, we significantly reduce the risk of work-related incidents and create safer working conditions for everyone involved.
